We are currently seeking a project manager for the development activities of the MAN Energy Solution for industrial heat pump plants. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in meeting technical requirements, advancing innovation, and achieving time-to-market goals. This is a key position with high strategic importance within the company, offering an opportunity to shape efficient further development and take responsibility in an important technical area. 

  • Project Management: Manage extensive interdisciplinary cross-team development projects with strategic importance in the field of plant engineering and plant modularization
  • Development Progress Monitoring: Monitor development progress ensuring that technical requirements, costs, timeline, and quality are met
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with the product development process, supervise, and coordinate required development tasks
  • Documentation Management: Create and review technical documentation


  • Master Degree in Engineering:  Hold a Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education, preferably in the field of plant engineering, system engineering, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Professional Experience:  Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the field of plant or large system engineering is a must.
  • Project Management Experience: Professional experience in project or product management is required
  • Modularization and Industrialization Experience: Have experience in the modularization and industrialization of systems that are still in the development phase, as well as rationalization and when possible simplification of existing designs.
  • Design to Cost:  Experience with cost reduction initiatives of early-in-the market products, preferably integrated systems or entire plants
  • Reliability and Leadership Skills: Demonstrate reliability and the ability to take ownership, and to lead complex projects with an interdisciplinary skilled team
  • Organizational Skills and Entrepreneurial Spirit: Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Possess good team communication skills and a problem-solving attitude (pragmatism)
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken) is required
