The role as Product Engineer Avalanche Safety & Climbing is at the forefront of developing life-saving personal protective equipment (PPE) for avalanche safety and climbing. Your work will directly impact outdoor enthusiasts, mountaineers, and adventurers worldwide. From designing cutting-edge avalanche beacons to ensuring compliance with safety standards, your role is essential in keeping people safe in extreme environments.

<ul> <li><b>Barryvox Beacon Ownership:</b> You'll be the technical product owner for the Barryvox avalanche beacon series. Dive deep into technical details, drive feature roadmaps, and collaborate with external partners to enhance safety and performance.</li> <li><b>Design and Validation (PPE):</b> Transform design sketches into 3D CAD models, create rapid prototypes, and optimize functionality, haptics, and aesthetics.</li> <li><b style="background-color: initial;">Technical Excellence (PPE):</b> Uphold Mammut's internal standards, PPE directives, and EN standards.</li><li>Rigorously validate products through lab and field tests, ensuring they meet internal and external standards</li></ul> Play to your strengths
<ul><li>Degree in electronic engineering </li><li>Strong knowledge in the application of avalanche safety gear products and PPE</li><li>Experience in design, layout and modularization of products as well as in material and product validation (laboratory and field testing)</li><li>A good understanding of material properties, material selection process and material testing as well as of <br>production processes, especially injection molding and metal processing</li><li>Good understanding of signal processing, algorithms and firmware development as well as of production processes, especially PCB and SMD</li><li>A creative, efficient and flexible personality with a high interest in mountain sports activities</li><li>Teamplayer with a forward and entrepreneurial thinking mindset and high problem solving skills</li><li>Strong knowledge in MS Office and 3D CAD Software</li><li>Fluent in English, other languages are a plus</li></ul>
