In this exciting position, you will be carrying out power system simulations and grid calculations (state estimation, load flow, short-circuit, contingency analysis, etc.). You will also be responsible for the following tasks:
- Modelling of the electrical grid of Switzerland
- Analyzing the conformity of the Swiss Individual Network Models (IGM) with international standards (CGMES, CIM, etc.)
- Following CGMES-related ENSTO-E processes (CGMS, OPDE, etc.)
- Working in collaboration with other departments in Swissgrid
This is how you make the difference
For this internship, we are looking for a team player with a reliable, structured and quality-conscious way of working. You must also have the following:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, ideally with a focus on power systems, or an equivalent qualification
- Very good knowledge of network analysis functions such as load flow, state estimation, contingency analysis
- Experience in the use of offline electrical simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, ODMS, Simulink, etc.) and in script programming (e.g., Python)
- Very good knowledge of English enables you to communicate effectively (knowledge of German or French is an advantage)
